My Teaching Journey
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with learners of all grades (K–12) from diverse backgrounds across many states, providing both enrichment and special education support. This experience has taught me that every student learns differently, and the key to success lies in meeting them exactly where they are.
Beyond one-on-one tutoring, I design literacy resources for educators on Teachers Pay Teachers, sharing tools that help teachers everywhere support students' reading and writing growth. This work keeps me connected to classroom innovations and ensures my methods stay current with educational best practices.

My Philosophy
As a lifelong reader and writer, I believe literacy is more than decoding words — it's a doorway to understanding, empathy, and endless possibilities. Every lesson I design is inclusive, culturally responsive, and student-centered, empowering learners to think critically and express themselves with clarity.
I've seen firsthand how the right approach can transform a struggling reader into a confident one, or help a reluctant writer find their voice. My goal isn't just skill improvement — it's helping students discover the joy and confidence that come from truly understanding what they read and expressing themselves clearly.
Beyond the Classroom
When I'm not teaching, you can find me exploring nature, discovering new restaurants, diving into a great book, or playing a favorite video game. These experiences enrich my teaching by keeping me curious, creative, and connected to the world my students are growing up in.
