- Test your camera and microphone before our first session
- Keep your device charged or plugged in
- Close unnecessary apps to improve performance
- Have a backup plan (phone hotspot) if internet gets spotty
π Setting Up Your Student's Learning Space

- Find a quiet, comfortable spot with good lighting
- Sit at a table or desk for better focus
- Position camera at eye level when possible
- Keep your learning materials within reach

- Notebook and pencils
- Any books or worksheets we're using
- Water bottle to stay hydrated
- Backup supplies nearby
π Minimize Distractions
- Ensure pets are away if they might be distracting
- Ask siblings and family to give you space during sessions
- Turn off notifications on your device
- Put away toys, games, and non-learning items
- Keep snacks and eating for before or after the session
- Let household members know you're in session

- Join early: Log in 2-3 minutes before our session to get settled and check your tech
- Be punctual: I'm excited to see you and we want to maximize our learning time!
- Camera on: Keep your camera on so we can connect better and I can see your learning
- Participate actively: Ask questions, take turns, and share your ideas
- Practice respect: Take turns, listen carefully, and raise your hand or use chat to speak
- Stay focused: Use technology only for learning during our sessions
- Try your best: Ask for help when you need it - that's what I'm here for!
β οΈ Important Behavior Policy
Be kind to everyone in our learning community. Bullying or unkind behavior is not allowed and will not be tolerated. Our classroom is a safe space for all learners.
π Scheduling & Communication
π 24-Hour Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 24 hours advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
π§ How to Reach Me
Use the official Learning Between the Lines (LBTL) email or voicemail for all questions and messages. This helps avoid interruptions during sessions and ensures your concerns are addressed promptly.
Please allow up to 36 hours for a response during the business week.

If technical difficulties or illness prevent a scheduled session on my end, I will offer a makeup session to ensure your child doesn't miss out.
