Guardian Role
A parent or guardian should remain reachable during sessions for technical or safety needs. Please use the official LBTL email or voicemail for communication.

💻Technology and Access
Requirements
- Reliable internet connection, camera, microphone, and headphones.
- Access to Google Meet and Google Classroom when required.
Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for maintaining devices and connections. If technical issues on the client’s side prevent progress, the session will still count as completed.
Platforms
We may use third-party tools for video and materials. Those tools have their own policies, which you should review.
🔒Privacy, Data, and Recordings
What We Collect
We collect information needed to deliver instruction. This may include names, contact details, schedules, and student work. We also collect session metadata, such as dates and attendance.
Audio and Video Recording
We may record tutoring sessions, including the student’s audio, video, and screen if screen sharing is used. By booking or attending, you give consent to be recorded. For students, consent must come from a parent or legal guardian. We will also show a notice before recording begins.
Why We Record
- Instructional quality, safety, and training
- Progress review and accurate notes
- Family access to session reviews when appropriate
We do not use recordings for advertising or public posting without a separate written release.
Retention
Unless a different period is stated in your program details, we keep recordings for up to twelve months. We may keep a copy when required by law, for dispute resolution, or for compliance. After this period, recordings are deleted from active systems, and backups expire in their normal cycle.
Storage and Access
Recordings are stored securely with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is limited to authorized LBTL staff and contractors. Parents or guardians may request a view link. We do not sell or publicly distribute recordings.
Sharing
We may share recordings with a parent or guardian, a contracted service provider under confidentiality, or as required by law. Any other sharing requires written permission.
Your Choices
If you do not consent to recording, please tell us before the first session. We will try to arrange a non-recorded session when feasible. Some programs require recording for safety or quality, and we will discuss alternatives if available.
Client Recording Policy
Clients and students may not record, copy, or stream sessions without prior written consent from LBTL. This protects the privacy of all participants and our materials.
Privacy Policy
See our Privacy Policy for details about your data rights. The policy is part of these Terms. View Privacy Policy
